The intent at Nanda Home is to think of the things that are missing from our lives and create them. It’s simple in fact. Ordinary questions like 'Why does my alarm do such a terrible job of getting me up?' are easily answered with Nanda’s fail-safe oh-so-cute Clocky alarm clock.
Nanda was started by Gauri Nanda when she was a graduate student at the MIT Media Lab. The Clocky alarm clock evolved out of Gauri's own need for an alarm clock that wouldn't let her snooze repeatedly. She created a prototype for a class project and a flurry of unexpected attention by the press ensued. Nanda has been a hot item in the news, and Clocky has been featured on Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Big Idea, The New York Times 'Year In Ideas,' ID & Dwell, to name just a few.
